Sites such as Rotten Tomatoes are more popular than ever, giving moviegoers a quick way to assess a film’s quality, leading many to ask ‘why do we still need film critics?’ Swinburne student Hannah Pratt is part of the Melbourne Women in Film Festival (MWFF) Critics Lab and shares her take on why film criticism is important and why diverse voices matter.
