Ever wondered what it would be like to create whatever you wanted, from anything you wanted? Well, Bachelor of Engineering (Robotics and Mechatronics) students Narayan Powderly and Mathew Wildoer are turning our dreams into reality with their latest Computer Numerical Control (CNC) milling machine. 

The art of robotics can get pretty complicated, so we decided to sit down with Narayan to learn more.

Aya Alothman is one of the first cohort of students in the civil engineering twinning program between Swinburne and the University of Baghdad. The program allows the top 14 first year students at the University of Baghdad’s civil engineering department to study at Swinburne for two years. Aya has returned to Iraq to complete the fourth year of the degree. She was awarded the Institution of Structural Engineers Prize for the highest achieving student in second and third year units, Design of Concrete Structures and Design of Steel Structures, and the Steel Reinforcement Institute of Australia prize for the student with the highest mark in Design of Concrete Structures in the Bachelor of Engineering (Civil Engineering) in 2014.
